We are trying to change our credit card processing from Citibank (name has changed now) to use PayPal Payments Pro and we are having a problem with charging cards through Super Manager

We tried the steps outlined here:
http://www.thesupermanager.com/forum/index.php/topic,1198.msg5294.html#msg5294

We get a different error than EBanks posted when we use the first method.

We get the error shown when we try to use the API settings or the 2nd method listed  (Steps 4-9)

Step 8 asks to click "Request API credentials" ....PayPal must have changed, because there are now 2 options in paypal.  Option 1 - PayPal API - Option 2 - Payflow Pro

With Option 1 Paypal takes you to a page where you have even more choices:
/How is PayPal set up on your website?
/Pre-built payment solution
/
/You’re using a third-party e-commerce solution, like Magento or Shopify, for shopping carts and online stores where the PayPal payment processor is built in.
/
/    Grant API permission
/    Add or edit API permissions
/
/PayPal Checkout SDK integration
/
/You or your developer integrated the Braintree v.zero SDK that allow you to accept payments via Paypal.
/Request SDK Credentials
/NVP/SOAP API integration
/
/You or your developer integrated NVP/SOAP (or “Classic”) APIs that allow you to accept payments via PayPal.
/View API Signature
/

With Option 2 Paypal give the following
User    Partner    Vendor    Password

Where exactly do we go to get the settings Supermanger needs?

David Johns

It should be option 1 with "You or your developer integrated NVP/SOAP (or "Classic") APIs that allow you to accept payments via PayPal".  Please post back whether or not you get it to work.

Thanks,
David

We had done it that way once and it didn't work. Just deleted what we had added and redid it that way. Still doesn't work. Gives the error that ebanks posted.

Help....still doesn't work.

Ed,

Glad to talk to you on the phone and work it out.  To help other users with the same problem I'm putting what we did to fix it here.  Since you are using your PayPal account in connection with Aabaco/Yahoo, we had to go to "View", "Admin" and double click on the "PayPal" account and set it's type to "Yahoo".

Thanks,
David
