If a computer crash, power outage or other major error occurs while SuperManager is writing the data file to the hard disk, the SuperManager file can be left in a corrupted state.  For this reason SuperManager saves a backup copy of your data file every time it successfully saves the file.  This backup file is located in the same folder as your database (.smg) file.  If your primary data file becomes corrupt you can restore it by opening this file in The SuperManager.  To do this follow these steps:
1. Locate the folder in which you store your SuperManager database (.smg) file.  If you do not know where it is, you may be able to find it by choosing "Start" | "Search" and searching "All Files and Folders" for files containing the "*.smg" in thier name.
2. In SuperManager select "File" | "Open..."
3. When the file selection window comes up change the drop down at the bottom of the window titled "Files of Type" to "SuperManager Backup (*.sbk).
4. In the file selection window navigate to the directory in which your SuperManager database (and its backup) reside and select the backup file.
5. Once the backup file opens and you asure that the data is there choose "File" | "Save" and it will ask you for a place to save the file.  Select the corrupt file so it is overwritten with the data from the backup file.

Note that by doing this you will loose any data that was added or altered from the previous successful save.
