Creating custom reports in QB 2007

I want to create a custom inventory report that contains (and is sorted by) a custom field, but I'm not seeing how.  The Physical Inventory Worksheet that is pre-designed would work great except I cannot figure out how to add that custom field.  Any help, anyone?  Thanks-a-bunch.
