Am in the process of purchasing and installing a new PC that will exist solely to run SuperManager and UPS WorldShip.  I'm looking for directions or best strategies for reinstalling SuperManager and transferring the data.  Don't want to lose the connection to WorldShip and software properties that were set up after the first installation.

Also, should I apply the newest upgrade (e.g. 1.1) before or after the transition?

Thanks.

Linton,

Part of your question is answered in this FAQ about transfering your settings to another PC:

As for whether you should include upgrading to 1.1 in this transition to the new PC, there is no reason not to.  I would recommend backing up your data to a secure location as part of the transition.  You can then use it to install it on the new PC and keep it for archival reasons.

The export settings in The SuperManager for exporting to WorldShip are stored in the .set (Program Settings) file.  You will, however, have to re-establish your ODBC settings on the new computer as described in the User's Manual.  A link to the exact section is found here http://thesupermanager.com/forum/index.php?topic=32.0.

Thanks,
