I heard about overfilling your quickbooks with customers, is this true? to fix it can I do the following?

In The Program Setting>XML Echange Format window:

If you uncheck the "create customers for order exports", then I can add " Online Customer" instead.

And this would have every order I import from now on be "Online Customer"?

Thanks

Michael,

I think you have the right idea.  You just need to turn off this "Create customers for order exports" option and then set the setting "Customer name for orders" to "Online Customer".

Thanks,
David

QB's does have a limit .... 10K any one list or 14,500 total list names (includes all lists).

Also consider using the date as the 'customer' name; I love this option for clients.....gives them some additional information without filling QuickBooks up to quickly.

I think this only applies if you process orders in SuperManager...Not for lite version!

The list limits are for QuickBooks; only QB's Enterprise can handle more then 14,500 total.  SuperManager Lite will send customers over to QB's whichever way you configure it ... individually, by date, 1 generic name.

Just to add my 2 cents for Michael's Idea.

If any one has more that one store and all the stores are accessed from one computer, then giving just a generic  name ( a constant) will make a mix up in quickbook. As every store will export with same generic name due to the fact that export setting is under Program Setting and not a Store setting in SM.

In such case a variable such as "company_name" can be a good choice.

I would definitely recommend a different generic name for each database; also consider using the Class feature.
