Hi David,

upon further inspection, I also found out that order download via Amazon txt file does not import zip code. Also it does not correctly show the shipping for those orders which have same items in multiple quantity. if a user order more than one quantity for the same item, Amazon times the shipping charge to the quantity. However, SM shows only one shipping charge.

ajentp,

Amazon has an excel template you can use to upload tracking numbers.  SuperManager won?t export the excel file itself, but it will export a text file that you can use to populate the ?Shipping Confirmation? tab.  I'm  (although not certain) that you can upload a text file with the same columns as the excel template has.  We have prepared an smx file that creates an export template in SuperManager.  To use the export save the .smx file to your computer and go to ?View? | ?Program Settings? and click ?Import SMX?.  After you do this you will file ?Amazon Status Update? as one of the exports you can use in SuperManager.

As for the product codes - there are several product codes in Amazon.  Do any of these match your Yahoo product codes?

Lastly, as for the shipping zip code.  I see the problem with that and can release it soon.  Before doing so we could work on fixing the problem with automatic downloads.  I'll send you more information about that by email.

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

I send you back the Html file as you asked.

About product match, we have set up Yahoo store product based on item code of a product. As you may know that an item code is normally a five digit number out of last 6 digit in the bar code(UPC). The very last digit is for defining color or style of that product.

I was thinking if SM product's download can tie up to that five digits out of UPC, it may help. Because this way the number will remain unique regardless how many time it downloads. It will also work across the board.

Other option is seller SKU tie up.

Thanks

Mayb I'm not understanding, but I looked up one of your items on Google, "Lockheed C-130 Hercules U.S.C.G. Toy Plane" and got the Yahoo page, where it shows "Item Code: NR-20617".  Then I compared it to the listing in the amazon export you sent me:

listing-id: 0722EO17X97
sku: WS-1J9D-TUC7

Maybe I'm just missing it, but I don't see a matchable pattern between those two.  How are these supposed to be matched?  Is this just a bad example?

Thanks,
David

Hi david,

I checked amazon and found out if we add our product code at seller SKU field, at the time new listing is being created, then this SKU will become item code in SM. So in a way, things are working.

Hi David,

We have been using SM for Amazon. It is working good. However we still have some minor issues. I wonder if they can be addressed as well.

1) Amazon download does not populate billing address in SM. It is just left as empty. We know that Amazon orders do not carry any billing address, only the shipping address. However it would be good for us if shipping address itself is populated into Billing fields.

Why we want it this way? becuase we notice that without any billing address, if we export any order to Quick book, it will be listed under general name of "SuperManger Import".  That is fine as well, but problem arise when we try to search orders by actual customer's name in Quickbook, at that instance quickbook returns NO Order Found.

2) Shipping cost does not add up correctly if a customer purchase same item more than one quantity. It should add up as Shipping cost x Quantity. However in SM, it just add as shipping cost x 1.

Thanks for your time

ajentp,

I think the QuickBooks export issue is something different.  Take a look at your export settings under "View" | "Program Settings..." on the "XML Exchange Formats" tab.  Select "QuickBooks" from the list of exports and then make sure the "Customer name for order exports" is set accordingly.  Also make sure "Create customers for order exports" is checked.  You are right about the address fields not being filled in for the billing address, but the billing name is filled in, which should be enough to make sure the customers are exported and linked to the sales receipts/invoices.

Thanks for letting us know about the shipping costs.  We will correct that for the next release.  Does your shipping cost show up as "shipping-price" or "shipping-fee"?

Thanks,
David

Hi david

Both in Amazon and SM, shipping cost shows as "Shipping".

Thanks

ajentp,

Sorry - I wasn't clear.  I mean when you download an order report from amazon.  Go into the Amazon back end and manually download an order report and check whether the your shipping amount comes through with the column header shipping-fee or shipping-price.

Thanks,
David
