Custom product crashes : Fixed - Beta 1.4.6.1

We've updated to the latest versions and now whenever we try to enter in a custom product it causes SuperManager to crash. What can we do to fix???

Very sorry about this.  We have been trying to duplicate this problem, but have been unable to duplicate it so far.  Can you please tell me the exact keystrokes, clicks, etc... you are doing to get to where this problem occurs?

Everything works until we try to enter in a custom product. You get the little pop up box to enter in the description for the custom product and as soon as you click 'OK' the program crashes.

We have tried to repeat this, but have been unable to get this error to occur.  Can you zip your smg file and email it to us at info@thesupermanager.com?

Hi David,

We're having the same, or similar trouble.

For example, in the most recent incident (today), we were trying to modify a non-orderable item on an order and SM would unexpectedly quit. This occurred several times. Some background...

The item in question was originally orderable (SM status = "orderable" or "taxable") but subsequently changed to non-orderable (i.e., SM status = "hidden"). When this occurs, SM apparently deletes the description, base price, weight and perhaps other data from the database leaving only the item code and paths.

Subsequently when attempting to modify the once-orderable-now-hidden item on the order detail screen, either by double-clicking the item or right-clicking on it, SM crashes. This is new and apparently a consequence of one of the more recent software updates because previously under the same circumstances the system did NOT crash.

One more thing:  even when we try to add a Custom item to any order, SM crashes.

We actually have a fix in place for this, but are finishing up a couple other items before releasing the next beta.  We'll post back in the next few days when it is released.
