I finally got the automated merchant number setup with Yahoo and it works get except I just got a manual order and can't get the SM to process through Yahoo. Can you tell me how I add it. It doesn't seem to want to allow for typing anything in.

Thanks,

Nathan,

The SuperManager should be able to handle charging of manual orders just by entering all the order information including the credit card info and clicking the "Authorize" and/or "Sale" buttons on the order details window.  Did this not work for you?  Tell me what errors you are receiving if not.

Thanks,
David

I have a different question about this. (Mine seems to be working fine.)

Does Yahoo charge extra for these manual transactions?

Thanks!

Regarding the original post, I guess I should add what I'm doing that's working. ;)

I click on the "New Order" button (just to the left of "Get New Orders"), and fill in all the info there.  Is that what you were trying?

Chris,

As I understand it Yahoo just charges a percentage of the subtotal for orders received from your Yahoo store.  They do not charge for orders received outside of your Yahoo store.  Your merchant account, however, may issue a per transaction fee.  For example Payment Tech charges $0.20 per transaction.  This would apply to these manual transactions.  So I think the answer to your question is no.

Thanks, David!  It was a rumor I heard once.

Hi David,

It says No Accounts Exist in the store settings. If you continue the default gateway will be used. I clicked continue to see what would happen and it charges the card. How do I put in the default so it doesn't keep asking me. There is nothing in the drop down on the settings. Also is there a way of taking off the default to authorize first. This is a pain in the butt to click on each time.

Still not sure about it asking for the charging amount each time as we always charge the full amount but will credit less than the full amount (price - shipping and handling for returns). How does everyone else feel about it asking for the amount each time to charge???

Nathan,

SuperManager populates your account list the first time you download or submit your merchant batches from The SuperManager.  To do this go to "View" | "Admin" and click on either "Get Batches" or "Submit Batches".  After doing this you can select your account in the store settings.

As for the amount, the idea was that if you want to charge the amount due you would use the "Charge Orders" function from the popup window on the order list.  Just select all the orders you want to charge on the main order list, right click and choose "Charge Orders".  The "Sale" buton on the order details was built this way to allow for special case charging of orders.

On your other point we could consider a "Don't show this warning again" type of checkmark or a store setting not to warn about not having authorized it first.  Is there a reason you consistently don't want to authorize first?  We had thought that typically you would want to to get an avs response.

Thanks,
David

Thanks for the help in setting up the manual transactions. I must have missed that in the manual (acting like I read it cover to cover). It is now setup properly.

As for authorizing first I would only normally do this if it was an online order but they get done automatically. Manual orders come on the phone and thus I trust more. My thinking also is if you are worried you will hit authorize button first and then sale. If you don't care then sale should just do exactly that. My 2 cents. Maybe QBRox will step in with some experience on the topic.
