Can I request that in the next version that the Order Type field on manual orders only pull from the Order Type settings. Also if it can auto-fill (when you but in N it would bring up NF) that would be great.

Thanks much,

Nathan,

I have added the autocomplete functionality to the development list.

For the other point did you mean you would like to have the "eStore" entry removed from the list?

Thanks,

Thanks for adding it to the list.

The Order Entry list should be all this is shown and available to be filled in that drop down. I hope that is clear enough.

Nathan,

Bare with me.  I'm really trying.  I'm still not sure what you mean.  I can explain where the entries in the "Order Type" drop down on the order details screen come from, however.  If you go to "View" | "Store Settings" and choose the "Custom Fields" tab, then choose the "Order Types" tab on the side you will see a list of all the entries that go into this drop down.  From here you can delete any of them except the "eStore" type.  You can rename this one to a type of your choosing, but it cannot be deleted as this is the type applied to all orders recieved online.  Additionally if you enter manual orders (and I know you do) The SuperManager will automatically make a "Manual" order type if no other types other than eStore (or whatever you have renamed it to) exist.

I hope this helps.  Please help me understand you, though.  I'm really sorry I am being so dense!

Thanks!

You got it perfect actually. I was the confused one cause I already renamed eStore to Internet. As you might remember I use the OrderType to track sales from salespeople and thus transfer it into QB. A quick SalesRep report and now you can see how many sales come from your salespeople on the phone (plus pay bonuses) plus the Internet/Phone orders percentage which is really important right now as we ramp up and try and figure out when we can have more hours on the phone manned.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion.

Nathan,

What a cool set-up!  So if I understand this correctly, you are using the Order Type and  it to a specific sales rep; or do you enter the Sales Rep information in another field?

I have the sales rep set up for different stores for clients; and if it's a manual order they are coded to manual.  However they have to go back in and run reports using the memo field or an additional field we have added; so I'm curious how you have this set up to be so automated.

Thanks!

Hi QBRox,

I am using the full Version and you can put in Order Types under Store Settings -> Custom Fields -> Order Types. I then have it import the order type into QB and have the setup the same. It works perfectly and I get my sales reports in QB. I can then just add up the salespeople and get a phone/net order percentage.

Great!  That is kind of what I thought, but wasn't sure ... that makes it very nice.

Thanks for sharing,
Rox :-)
