Title: UPS WorldShip
Post by: keriwgd on July 18, 2013, 12:36:15 PM
Hi!

So we have  recurring problem importing orders from SuperManager into our UPS worldship. It doesn't happen all the time but every once in awhile orders will import in with the wrong shipping method. Yesterday we had an order that was supposed to be shipped overnight and imported into worldship as ground. Any advice for us on this?

Thanks!

Keri

Keri,

The first thing to check would be your ship method mapping.

If these settings all appear to be correct, you might go back to the order that shipped incorrectly and right click on it and choose "Shipments", "Enter Weights" and check what ship method is set for the shipment.  Each order has a ship method that is chosen by the customer, but there is also a ship method in each shipment so that if you need to, you could ship part of an order ground and part of it overnight.  The ship method in the shipment defaults to the order's ship method, but it can be changed on the shipment details screen, which you can get to in this manner (and a couple other ways).

Thanks,
David

Hi David,

Question, I probably should have stated this earlier, but when we export our orders to WorldShip we don't use the XML option. The shipping department right clicks on an order > Export > UPS WorldShip.
Does that affect the mapping that you just explained?

Keri,

You would still go to the same place, except look at the export "UPS WorldShip" instead of the XML Exchange line.

Thanks,
David

Everything looks to be correct and it doesn't happen all the time. Just every once in awhile. Is there a reason that that could happen?

I can't think of anything on SuperManager's side that would cause this.  However, we can at least narrow it down to being something that SuperManager causes or that WorldShip causes if you want to send me the file exported from SuperManager next time this happens.

Thanks,
David
