Title: Invalid Store ID and TextBoxFill (1000) Errors when Interacting with Yahoo : Fixed - Version 1.7.6.0
Post by: jabrein on July 24, 2015, 03:15:36 AM
Good Day,

Beginning this morning I started receiving the error message:  "Invalid Store ID"   when trying to download Yahoo Store Orders.

I updated to the newest version of SM ( 1.7.4.0 ) , but still receive the errors.

I know that Yahoo announced that they were going to remove some credentials required to access Order Manager, so  maybe that is tied to the error.   Or, something else entirely.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for reporting this issue.  Apparently it is related to this service message someone else just sent us:

Quote06:00 PM PST: Merchant Solutions System Maintenance

Yahoo Merchant Solutions will be undergoing a quick system maintenance today between 6:00 p.m. PT, until 7:00 p.m. PT. During the maintenance window, there will be a 30-40 minute period when merchants might see a loop for account password or Yahoo Security Key prompt when attempting to access links within the Store Control Panel. Once the maintenance has been completed, account access should be completely restored.

Following the maintenance period, Yahoo Security key access will be end of life and access to certain features in the Store Control Panel will now require a password authentication instead of the Yahoo Security key.

We apologize for any inconvenience and we thank you for your patience while the maintenance is underway.

We'll get working on an adaptation to their changes.

Thanks David,

The Order Processor at our office was able to successfully pull in Yahoo Orders, while I still get the error message.

Providing additional details just in case my issue is something else:

My SM Store Settings are:

Store Type:  Yahoo Hybrid
Plus I have a Yahoo API token listed in Store Settings.

I'll be away from my computer for the rest of the day - so I will respond (if needed) tonight.

Thanks for the info.  It could be that it depends on if you are already logged into Internet Explorer or not.  Also, I would recommend changing to a "Yahoo API" store type so that the only thing relying on this connection to the store manager through Internet Explorer is "Update to Store Manager" and any non-standard authorizing or charging of orders (ex: making a second authorization or charge).

Thanks,
David

We are having the same problem. Not using the API. I tried to set up the API but never got any emails with the "Token" Does it take a while?

I have confirmed by manually logging in that the security key is never asked for.

Hi David,

Changing to Yahoo API allowed me to pull in orders.  Thank you.

jbrein,
Glad that worked for you.

jbanks,
You may need to call yahoo support and ask them which email address they have on file for you.  I think they send it to the email address you gave them when you first created your store.  I know other store owners have had the same problem because they switched email addresses at some point and yahoo still has outdated information.

Thanks,
David

Got the API setup and it works.

All,
We have just release version 1.7.5.0, which should adapt to this Yahoo change.  Please try it out and let us know if it is working or if you are still having issues.

With this update, we still strongly recommend switching your SuperManager settings to use the Yahoo API for connecting to Yahoo.  The way to do this is described here:

I cannot seem to manually charge orders through Yahoo.  When I select "Sale" on a manual order, the system seems to go to the store to process the transaction, but then nothing seems to happen. There is no retuen message from Yahoo to the order showing that it was charged manually.

I tried it several times. I don't know if it just isn't working or if the customer has now been charged numerous times...

I have updated to the newest version of SM and updated to Yahoo API with the new token(s).

Now that I have updated to the Yahoo API I cannot get batches and I am getting a Batch submission error when SM attempts to submit the batches in the evening.

The error message reads "TextBoxFill Returned" (Error 1000)"

Michele,

When SuperManager has to make a manual charge it is unable to leave an indication of the charge in the order on Yahoo.  Did SuperManager add a charge to the order on it's list of transactions on the order details?

A definitive way to find out if SuperManager successfully made a charge is to either submit a batch or wait until it automatically batches and then check if the transactions went through.  I know that it would be much better if you could find out if it did and void it/them if necessary before the batch is submitted, but I don't think Yahoo offers a way to do that.

Please post back with your findings and whether or not the card transactions show up in SuperManager's order details.

Thanks,
David

Michele,

Sorry about that.  We'll get right on fixing that.  After you get that error, can you click "Get Batches" again and does it work for you?  That was my experience from trying it out just now.

Thanks,
David

Teri,

Thanks for posting your experience.  We are working on addressing these issues caused by the Yahoo updates.  In the meantime, we definitely recommend you follow the instructions in this blog post to switch to using the API for downloading, charging and posting back tracking numbers (if applicable with your license):

Michele,

We have been unable to repeat the textbox fill error since Saturday.  Can you please do the following:

Post back with where the login process fails.  Whatever details you can give would be helpful (ex: it goes to the login screen, enters the username and password, etc...)

When I "Restart Browser" SM crashes. I get the old "Program has encountered a problem and has been forced to close" message.  I have tried 3 times and then completely rbotted thed computer.  Still the same issue.

I am still getting the textbox fill error tonight when DM attempted to submit batches.  Does this mean that we are not getting our credit card batches submitted for payment??
Title: Re: Invalid Store ID and TextBoxFill (1000) Errors when Interacting with Yahoo
Post by: David Johns on July 28, 2015, 07:22:18 AM
Michele,

That depends on your yahoo settings.  If you have it set to auto submit a batch each night, then your batches are still getting submitted in that way.  If not, then you should manually submit your batch by going to the yahoo store manager manual transactions page and clicking "Submit Batch".

I spent several hours yesterday trying to simulate different states as a starting point to the login process and then launching the login and I never got the TextBoxFill error.  I'll keep trying.  This is obviously or to priority at the moment.  I wonder if there is something that is behaving differently between Windows 7 vs 8.  I typically test on Windows 8.  Which do you have installed?  What version of IE do you have installed?

Michele,

The API takes care of the most typical order processing steps, downloading, charging and uploading tracking numbers for orders.  It does not address the following functions:

For these functions, SuperManager has to continue to use the legacy method of communicating to Yahoo, which is done through Internet Explorer.  We are still working to understand why these functions work properly for some users, but not others since the release of 1.7.5.0.

Thanks,
David

Hi,

Yesterday we updated to the most recent SuperManager file.  Prior to, we were receiving the "Invalid Store ID" error when attempting to use the "Update to Cart" feature.  The new version seems to have resolved that, however we are now receiving a "TextBoxFill Returned (error 1000)" when attempting the same process.  We have attached a screen shot for you reference. Please, advise.

Thanks,
Elise

Interestingly, we are seeing just the opposite today. After updating SM we are seeing "Invalid Store ID" today for the first time while trying to update to cart.

If an answer has been found, I'd appreciate it being posted.  I'm also running Windows 7 and IE11 and get the "TextBoxFill Returned (error 1000)".  I have updated SM to 1.7.5.0 - was getting Invalid ID before that.

All,

You'll notice that I merged all these topics because they are all the same problem, just being discussed with reference to different interactions with Yahoo.  Again to make sure everyone is aware, the most basic connections to Yahoo:

Can all be done by switching your store type to "Yahoo API" as discussed here:
http://blog.thesupermanager.com/supermanager-updated-to-take-advantage-of-yahoo-api-improvements/

We are working on a solution to fixing the issue some, but not all users are having when performing other functions.

Thanks,
David

Michele and I identified a couple things that were causing this error in some of her stores:

1. A password was out of date for one or two of her stores.  It seemed to fix it once we got the right password under "View", "Store Settings" in SuperManager.

2. She has one store that is inactive because it is no longer open.  SuperManager seems to report this error when it encounters this situation.

In both cases, we will work to relay the proper error message when these issues are encountered.

In the meantime, please check that you have the right password in your store settings if you encounter this error.

Thanks,
David

I'm happy to report that we were able to repeat this issue.  It was happening only under certain circumstances, but we were able to simulate those conditions and fix the issue.  Please try updating to 1.7.6.0 and let us know if this fixes all these issues for everyone.

Thanks!

I am unable to get SuperManager to pull in Store Manager Order updates when selecting a group of orders in SM, right clicking, and selecting "Get Store Manager Order Status".

I am trying to do this for Yahoo! Store Orders.    I've tried both having my Store Setting as Yahoo API & Yahoo Hybrid API.

This functionality isn't working for 1.7.5.0 & 1.7.6.0

Please let me know if you need additional details.

Jeff

Huh.   I had only tried it once in 1.7.6.0 before posting this thread.

The first time I tried it -  it just would hang in the "getting orders" stream (no error message).

I just tried it again and it pulled orders in (via the Yahoo Hybrid API set-up).

I believe this thread / bug may be invalid.

Jeff,

There was a Yahoo service message about needing to accept terms and conditions of their migration to Luminescent.  That did cause an error for me the first time I logged in with 1.7.6.0.  I'm guessing that was the cause of the hang-up.

Also, I recommend switching to full "Yahoo API" mode.  We have thought of eliminating the hybrid mode since it was really just a temporary means to developing the API connections without taking the risk of leaving users stranded with something that didn't work for some things, but did for others.  I'm not saying we will do that anytime soon, but it really doesn't make sense to use it anymore.  You are just missing out on the speed of downloading orders through the API.

Thanks,
David

You may not have gotten my reply this morning since I have been merging all these topics together since they are really all the same issue.  I may have messed it up so you didn't get the response.  Please update to 1.7.6.0.  I think all the TextBoxFill issues are resolved by it.

Hi David,

I'm trying this morning to "Get Store Manager Order Status"  in 1.7.6.0, but with my SM Store Setting mapped  to Yahoo API.

I've received the below message each time after several attempts.

Yahoo Timed Out.
Please Try Your Request Again.

I'll probably go back to the Yahoo Hybrid API to pull in this info for today, but please let me know what to do in the "Yahoo API" setting to get this feature to work.  Note:  I have previously accepted the new Yahoo terms.

*** Revision ****
Having the same issue with Yahoo Hybrid.     Trying a restart of SM to see if I can get one (or both) to work.   Will update soon ****

*** Revision 2 ***
Still having the same issue with both Yahoo Store set-ups options.  Need to head out for this morning, but I'll see if there are existing knowledge article about this issue tonight.

jabrein,

There is a pop-up message Yahoo/Luminescent has running about the transition and some new terms and conditions that they want store owners to accept.  The first time I tested 1.7.6.0 this did cause a hiccup, but once I had cleared that pop-up it worked flawlessly.  Please do this:

Thanks David,

It is working after going through the steps below.    Interestingly, I had accepted the new TOS within my Chrome session of being in my Yahoo Store, but when I accessed my Yahoo Store through Internet Explorer (the below steps), I had to resubmit my TOS acknowledgement.

Maybe that was the hiccup (not using I.E. for accessing my store).

Thanks again!
