Using the newest beta (1.3.3.6) I'm receiving errors when attempting to update my tracking numbers to Yahoo!. This was also happening sporadically in the previous beta but if I right clicked on the order and chose "Shipments - Update Shipment Status" it would work, now it doesn't work at all.

When I import the tracking numbers SuperManager asks if I want to update the shipment statuses to Yahoo!, I choose yes and then SuperManager throws an error saying "Unknown Error Updating Orders".

This also happens when I right click on the order and chose "Shipments - Update Shipment Status".

I checked all my setting and they appear to be correct (email tracking password, etc...). I can update my orders to Yahoo! but I cannot update the shipment statuses.

I posted in a recent "bug" thread about SuperManager updating older orders with tracking numbers from manual orders.

That seems to be fixed (although SuperManager still says "Updated to Yahoo!" in the order comments even though they're not updating).

However SuperManager doesn't seem to be catching manual orders to send out manual e-mails when tracking information is updated and occasionally it attempts to send a manual "shipped" e-mail for a non-manual order.

Here is an example:

I had a manual order "01-551-M" when I imported the tracking information it DID NOT prompt me to send out a manual order shipped e-mail. However in the order notes it says "26 Jan 09: Updated Shipment Information to Yahoo!". When I checked order #551 through Yahoo! it DID NOT update the tracking information even though the order notes says that it did (which is good, because it shouldn't be updating that order).

Also, bill_auth_code export doesn't seem to be working, and bill_cvv_response gives me weird characters in the data cell in Excel when I open the export file

I AM using the latest beta

Same thing happening here.

SuperManager seems to be updating my manual orders to Yahoo! causing e-mails to be sent out to old customers.

Case in point:

I imported the tracking information from our CVS file formatted as follows ("order number","tracking number" Order 01-508-M (a manual order that was recently taken) was updated to Yahoo! and order 508 from our Yahoo! system was updated and a shipment notification was sent out. Our Yahoo! orders are currently in the 3900s.

The customer then contacted me letting me know that the order that he got the status update about was from years ago and his wife that placed the order had passed away in 2007. Errr, pretty uncomfortable.

Anyway, my manual orders are also saying "Date: Updated Shipment Information to Yahoo!"

When doing the accounting for the end of the month we need to merge our Paypal payments history from the Paypal website with the exported orders for the month from SuperManager.

This would be much easier if we could export the authorization code from the Paypal payment in SuperManager.

I tried using the variable "bill_auth_code" to export the authorization code but it doesn't seem to work and I can't find anything in the SuperManager user manual that would point me in the right direction.

Is there a variable to export this piece of information?

Thanks

To anyone who is having this problem:

What you can do as a temporary fix is log into your Yahoo! store account and go to the "Store Manager"
Go to the "Orders" page
Go to "Export" and make sure the dropdown menu has format "XML" selected

You should get a page with a bunch of text
Save this page as "orders.xml" (or whatever you want to call it, just make sure it has the .xml at the end)

Go to File > Import > Yahoo > Orders XML in SuperManager
Browse to that file and open it up... your orders should now be imported

Mike,

I'm logged in with both internet explorer and chrome and both browsers are open and on the "store manager" page. However I'm still receiving the error.

Also, I'm able to update my product list... just not download orders.

I'm receiving the same error with my Yahoo! store...

I'm running IE8, don't know if that would have anything to do with it.

Nick,

I went back and tested it again and it seems to be working for me.  Let me make sure we are trying to do the same thing.  You have one or more products that when you go to the products page in SuperManager and look at the product details it shows different levels of pricing in the "Quantity Pricing" list box?  Then when you go to a manual order and try to add one of these items and set the quantity greater than one of the trigger amounts it does not show the price changing?  Note that if you click the up arrow on the quantity the price change is reflected immediately.  If you type it in you have to click outside of the quantity box for the window to update the price.

Thanks,
David

Ok, I'll walk you through what happens.

We sell a sailor hat for $2.29, when 24 or more are ordered the price drops to $2.07 per hat.
When I look at the product details it shows the following in Quantity Pricing:

>1 @ $2.29
>24 @ $49.68

Now when I add 24+ Sailor Hats to the order it does adjust the price, but it adjusts it to $49.68 per hat.

This is because when entering quantity pricing in our Yahoo! store (and I don't know if this is universal) but we need to enter it as follows "2.29  24  49.68". So 49.68 / 24 = 2.07 per hat. There isn't any other way I can enter quantity pricing in our Yahoo! store because if I enter it as "2.29  24  2.07" the hats are added to the cart on the website (in quantities of 24+) at fractions of a dollar.

Let me know if this makes it anymore clear.

Nick,

What version of SuperManager do you have installed?  This is something we just recently fixed with version 1.2.6.0.  If you don't have it installed, please use the "Help" | "Check for Updates" function to install the newest version.  Let me know if it is still not working for with the newest version.

Thanks,
David

David,

I do have version 1.2.6.0 installed.
Quantity pricing does not work.

Just wanted to let you guys know that quantity pricing does not work.
Here is an example:

Item 123 sells for 4.00 regularly, and 3.00 if 24 or more are ordered.
In Yahoo! the item price is set up as follows: 4.00 24 72.00

When SuperManager adds 24 or more of item 123 it lists the price as 72.00 per item.
It appears that SuperManager forgets to divide the 72.00 by 24 when doing to quantity pricing.

Just a heads up, if this could be fixed soon that would be great.
Thanks.

David,

We do use a Yahoo! store and the tables that are set up through our "Shipping Manager" are the ones that we use to calculate shipping costs through our online store. I  these are the tables / script you are speaking of pinging to estimate the shipping cost. This solution would work well for us to calculate manual order shipping costs.

General / Calculating shipping costs for manual order
October 30, 2007, 07:26:49 AM
Is there a way to estimate shipping costs when entering a manual order?

We have all the weights set up in our online store, and Supermanager did download the weights appropriately however I cannot figure out (nor do I even know if it is possible) how to calculate a shipping cost when entering a manual order.

Is this possible, or can this feature be added to the next version of SM?

Printing Reports / Re: Detailed Financial Summary

David,

That didn't really help out much, but I managed to find a solution that works well.
At the end of the day once the orders for the day have been shipped / charged I do a superfilter for for orders that had been shipped on said date.

I created two custom export formats, one that is a range and lists the totals for the day (shipping, coupons, taxes, total, and also what payment methods were used) and one export format (that is an order export) that lists order# - customer name - amount charged.

These save to a .txt file that we can print or save and include with out pick lists / shipping label receipts for the day

Carole,

I took a closer look at it and it seems that SuperManager does download the quantity pricing, but it was not displaying it correctly and it does not use it in calculating item prices when you add an item to an order.  Is this something you need us to add?

Thanks,
David

David, this is a feature I would like you to add in Supermanager. In our store we sell multiple items with quantity discounts and it would make entering manual orders much easier if Supermanager used the quantity pricing discounts when adding items to an order.

IE. Item #555 is 1.00 normally, but when ordering 50x or more of said item the price drops to 0.75. Currently in Supermanager it does not calculate this discount when entering an order manually. This feature would be wonderful and save us a lot of time.

Printing Reports / Detailed Financial Summary
October 22, 2007, 07:45:19 AM
At the end of every day we charge the orders that have shipped.
Previous to trying Supermanager we were using Y Store Tools order processor.

At the end of the day when we charged the orders we printed an end of day summary of all the charges.
On the summary it listed:

Order Number - Customer Name - (Order Payment Type [Visa, Mast, etc.]) - Amount Charged

Then at the end of the order numbers list it printed:

Credit Card Charge Summary By Type
------------------------------------------------
Visa: Amount
Mastercard: Amount
etc.

Is it possible the do this with Supermanager?
Right now at the end of the day we simply print a financial summary so that we know the sales for the day but we would like to have a more detailed list.

Thanks for any help.

Edit: Also, is there a way to estimate shipping costs when entering a manual order? We have all the weights set up in our online store, and Supermanager did download the weights appropriately however when entering "additional" costs and choosing shipping then "Guess" it just enters a negative order total number.
