Connie,

We just released a beta update over the weekend that includes this capability. You should be able to use "Help", "Check for Updates" to install this new version, then once installed, go to "View", "Store Settings", select your Big Commerce store and check the new "Ignore Tax Totals" option. Once checking this all orders downloaded will exclude the tax totals. Note that this won't apply to any orders already in SuperManager - only ones downloaded after this option is checked.

Thanks,
David

We added a setting for Amazon orders where you can have SuperManager ignore tax totals. When you check this option in the store settings, SuperManager does not import the tax totals for Amazon orders. We later implemented this for Shopify orders as well as some users were having the same problem with Shopify orders. We could extend this setting to BigCommerce if that's what you need.

Thanks,
David

Lori,

I'm not familiar with the "Billing Unit" terminology, but it seems like you could acheive this by making item groups. You would make an item group in QuickBooks with the item name "A1236", for example, which would contain 1 "C 1x10". Please post back if I'm misunderstanding.

Thanks,
David

Lori,

Could you please give me an example of what would be included in a group of orders and how it would translate to what you want in QuickBooks?

Thanks!

We had one other user who encountered this error. That customer said it started working again today. Is it working for you now as well? Did you hear back from Yahoo on what the problem was?

Thanks so much,
David

Phil,

We've been in touch about this over phone and email. I know you passed along the API communication logs I created for you to Yahoo to analyze. Any word back from them yet?

Thanks,
David

Lori,

I released another update that I believe will fix this issue. Please update again and give it a try.

Thanks,
David

Lori,

We can fix the "NULL" issue with the PayPal orders in the next beta release. The good news is there is something you can change in your store settings to fix this for now.

  • Go to "View", "Store Settings" and select the "Accounting Export" tab
  • Select each of the "Pay Methods" on the list at the bottom (one at a time)
  • Set the "Item/Category Name" to how you want it to appear in QuickBooks

So, for example you can change "NULL" to "PayPal" in this way so in QuickBooks it will show up as PayPal.

Thanks,
David

Lori,

Okay - the beta (2.0.7.4) is out. Please update to it and give it a try. All orders you download with that version installed should pull the credit card type for NMI.

Thanks,
David

Lori,

We haven't been able to release the beta with that feature yet. When you and I spoke, I hoped it would be ready to release yesterday, but we still need another day or two.

Thanks,
David

Yes, it does.

Lori,

I'm not familiar with NMI. There is a chance that WooCommerce gives additional data that SuperManager isn't looking for. I'll have to work with you to get access to your store and download the raw data and see what WooCommerce is sending. Please give me a call at 909-248-4860 sometime today so we can arrange that.

Thanks,
David

No, it does not. Currently it's only possible to have a single sales tax item, which means it is  to one state. There are likely ways to query the transactions in QuickBooks to split it out into different states.

Thanks so much,
David

SuperManager does have a way to adopt the shopping cart calculated tax. This is actually the first method of taxes that we implemented way back when we added support for exporting to QuickBooks for this very reason. To acheive this, go to "View", "Store Settings", select the "Accounting Export" tab and find the "Tax Reference Item" export option. Change this option to a tax item you have defined in QuickBooks that has a 0% rate. You likely already have one since I beleive before the time of this post you were using this default approach.

Thanks,
David

Lori,

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier. Did you figure this out or do you still need help?

Thanks,
David
