We started receiving an error message a few weeks ago and can't process charges using Direct Connect API.  We are able to process charges using their virtual terminal and our account status is fine. I noticed that in store settings, the drop-down selection for Direct Connect API is misspelled "Direct Conntect Acct API"; not sure if that's part of the problem.

Fixed Bugs / Credit for Paypal not Working : Abandoned

We are getting an error message when processing a PayPal credit. This is the first time we've seen this.  We are using the latest version of SM.

General / Customer Notes include cancelled emails

Hi,

I noticed customer notes are recording emails as sent even though they are cancelled before sending. We are on version 1.6.3.0. Not a big deal, but thought you'd want to know.

General / Manual orders not charged correctly

Hi Guys,

In the past few months, we have had a couple of manual orders that did not charge correctly.  The authorization and charge look normal in the dialog box, but the charges did not make it to the batch. We only learned of the problem when reconciling deposits. This issue seems limited to manual orders; and not every one.  Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

QuickBooks / Quickbooks XML not working

Hi,

We updated SM software to 1.6.1.2 yesterday. Now we are getting the error message when we XML with quickbooks.  "Quickbooks runtime is not properly installed (hr-2147221005.  Would you like to download and install".  We have gone through every step outlined in previous posts and cannot get it to work.  Haven't changed anything about the PC or Quickbooks Pro 2012.  Any help would be appreciated.

update - I got it to work.  We first uninstalled QBXMLRP2 from our programs list, which has been there for some time. There is a new download QBFC12_0Installer that came up with the Supermanager error message. Once we installed that, everything works.  Not sure if that's the right procedure, but again, it works now for us.

Hi,

We are having trouble getting hyperlinks to appear in emails. If we include (item_url) or (company_website) in an email, the receipient only sees text.  On our test machine, we receive other emails and hyperlinks are active, so I think the problem is with how the email is sent, not my reader settings on our test machine. Also, if I do a carriage return after the hyperlink in a received test email, it becomes active.

Hyperlinks used to appear as active.  We upgraded to Windows Live a few months ago on all of our machines; not sure if that is the problem.  We send most emails not as HTML.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Update as of 2:53 PM EST.  I figured out the issue.  If an email is selected as "preview before sending" in Supermanager, the hyperlinks do not work. If no "preview" is selected, hyperlinks remain active.  Not a priority fix for us as long as we can work around the issue. Would be nice to have emailer allow hyperlinks in all circumstances at some point.  Thanks.

Installation / Windows 8 Error when Charging Orders

With our new Windows 8 machine, Supermanager is giving us an error message when we attempt to charge an order. It says unknown error; Click Yes or No etc.

We are also having a hard time downloading orders. We keep getting log in errors.  Eventually, they download, but only after several tries.''

Any thoughts. We have the latest version of SM.

Update:  we updated the SSL and TLS settings in IE and we are able to charge and update orders.  However, we still get time out and log in errors every so often.  Anywhere else we should check on IE?

Endicia is rejecting all of our addresses sent by xml and not printing postage.  It appears there is extra space between the State and Zipcode in the address transferred to Endicia. Once the extra space is removed and the address is re-verified by Endicia, postage prints fine. I checked the XML output and it seems like ToZIP4 and ToCountry don't have the same <> </> coding as all other XML fields. Not sure if that is the problem.

Tried to run a batch report from admin section and SM closes.  We use Accounting Export>Batch Report.  We haven't made any changes to the report, ie. variables, location, etc.. Tried on two different machines and SM crashes on both. We are using Version 1.5.6.7. Thanks.

Hi Guys,

We updated to the latest version of Supermanager and notice that our networked machine, with SM in read-only mode, gets hung up and crashes when we use the superfilter.   All of the other functions seem to work ok. We did shut down and reboot both PCs and the issue is still there. Not a high priority, but wanted to make you aware.

Whenever we open SM, it gives us an error (unable to login into Yahoo). To correct the problem, we have to select "open store manager", wait for browser to open, then shut down SM and reopen. The problem seems to be that the software goes to the Yahoo Business Control Panel on startup rather than directly into the Yahoo store manager. This has been happening for a few months now.

Is this a browser or software setting on our end or something else?

General / Credit Card Expiration Dates show 00/0000

We upgraded to version 1.5.4.1 this morning.  We see that credit card expiration dates are now being downloaded as 00/0000.  Also, some orders previously downloaded, the expiration dates have been replaced with 00/0000.  Is this normal?

General / "Get Batches" not working

Hi,

I noticed batch review information in Yahoo no longer contains expiration dates. This is causing an error when we "get batches."  We have to proper roles and can process orders.  I talked with Yahoo and they said it is part of the recent changes, but they forgot to mention it in their memos.  Any work around on this to get batches on to Supermanager?

After updating our software to the latest beta, SM is not deducting inventory on hand for new orders.  This appears to be happening with all orders.

Hi Guys,

This came up in Sept of 2010 and seems back again.  When you "select all" in products, SM hangs up.  If you leave SM alone for 30-40 seconds, it will eventually select all. This started after we upgraded to v 1.4.4.8.

Hi Guys,

We updated our software to 1.4.2.3.  Now, when we try "select all" in products view, everything freezes.  We need to shut down and reopen to get back in.  This is happen with both VISTA and XP os.

Update 9.8.10 - We notice that if you "select all" and let SM sit for a few minutes, it eventually highlights all of the products.  I don't recall it being that slow.  By comparison, when we "select all" orders (of which there are alot more) - they are highlighted in 1-2 seconds.

Hi,

The US Postal Service no longer allows the term "United Kingdom" as a destination on customs forms. You get an error message when you do.

They now want "Great Britain" or specific countries "England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland".

Can you update the country drop down to reflect this? The term "United Kingdom" probably has to stay though so it will sync up with the shopping cart "yahoo", which only has "United Kingdom" as an option.

General / Likely Repeats inaccurate

Hi Guys,

We noticed that Likely Repeats is linking customers with just the same name, even when everything else (billing address, email etc.) is different.   Is that correct?

Hi Guys,

We noticed that the item status "stat" in order details will occasionally be incorrect for backordered items.  On several occasions, we have a "0" status for an item in order details, but when we drill down to item details, "on hand" quantity will be negative. We have also had cases where status in order details was say "2BO", but item details shows a "-3 on hand".  This has been happening for some time with us.  Is it a known issue?
