Here's what I did: I used Dazzle/Endecia xml exchange functionality. Everything printed great and tracking number was returned nicely to SM. It then asked if I wanted to update on Yahoo store, to which I responded yes. At that point I got a message from MS Outlook saying "a program is trying to send an email message on your behalf..." and then asking if I want to allow it. It then hangs and does not update my Yahoo store. Attached is a screen print of the message. Why is MS Outlook even involved at all in this process?

I read another string on this topic, which did not answer my issue.

I believe the first part of the error message is because I'm asked (by Dazzle or by SM) if I want to mark to ship for the next day since the Post Office is closed after 5 pm, to which I replied "yes". I'll reply "no" for now on so Amazon doesn't choke on my specifying that I already shipped an item tomorrow. Please advise if you think that will fix my problem.

Regarding the second error, please advise what I can do.

Following is the cut/paste from SM:

Amazon sent the following reply:

Sorry if this answer is posted elsewhere. If so, just direct me to there.

Here's what I want to do: 1) create a spreadsheet that has 2 fields: order ID and USPS confirmation number. 2) Then upload that spreadsheet to SM. 3) Then utilizing the export feature (which I know how to use) export that same information with all the fields that Amazon uses to upload to Amazon.

I need help with #2.

This may be problematic because a single order can have multiple shipments. But 90% of our amazon orders are for a single item.

Any suggestions? Maybe instead of #1 (self-create a spreadsheet) I export from SM a selected number of orders and use that format.

It says:  the file C:\Users\Public\Documents\Endicia\DAZzle\xml\ may be opened by dazzle. First, process the previous file with dazzle and then re-export.

I looked in that directory and there's no file there.

I'm trying to print a label.

Installation / Can't install, error code 2738
February 22, 2012, 08:37:51 AM
I'm getting an error code 2738. I'm using windows vista and until recently I was able to get an older version of SM to work well. But since trying to install the newer (beta?) version I've had problems.

Here's what I do: 1) open the old version of SM, 2) check for updates, 3) am asked if I want to install 1.4.9.6 and I answer yes, 4) it starts through the installation process, 5) then says "the installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738."

That's where it stops.

General / What version do I need to work w/ Amazon?
December 08, 2010, 09:04:03 AM
I have 1.2.9.4 .  If that version doesn't work, what do I need to do to work with Amazon? Can someone refer me to somewhere that explains Amazon functionality? We want to do all the same stuff we do with Yahoo Store.

General / Update to Yahoo not working
December 23, 2008, 01:47:35 PM
We're on vacation using a laptop to process orders. Everythings seems to be working OK, except the 'update to yahoo' feature. It just stays in the "logging into yahoo..." status and never completes the update.  We use the update feature to send order tracking info to yahoo store, which in turn notifies our customers by email that their order has been shipped. Any idea what the problem may be? Logging in works fine for downloading orders, so I know it is connecting.

QuickBooks / Any tips on how to reconcile, please
September 05, 2008, 01:01:50 PM
Any suggestions on how to reconcile data imported from SM to QuickBooks?  The problem (which I'm sure is the strength) is mainly that data is imported to QB at the order level.  Whereas QB reconciles for a time frame, e.g. for a statement period. Here's an example of the challenge that is:

On Jan 20 order 5505 ($5), 5506 ($15) and 5507 ($10) are all transferred in a single batch to American Express for a total of $30.  At the end of January that reconciles fine with my Amex statement.  But then in Feb there's a credit of $5 for order 5506. Uh, oh. That order was reconciled already.

Where do I go from here? Anyone with experience reconciling at the order level?

When I change order status within SM to "Returned", then upload to to Yahoo and email is automatically sent out to customer stating their order was shipped. (I made a previous post suggesting that creating a credit to their card and then updated to Yahoo caused this--but I misunderstood my order processor).  I do indeed need to update to Yahoo (in case you think that is not necessary) in order avoid seller fees for returned orders. Can you help?

General / Can I export tracking numbers to a .csv file?
September 05, 2008, 12:31:56 PM
I use Volusion for one of my stores. I can import order data to Volusion and wish to import USPS tracking numbers  with specified orders in a csv format.  To start, I need a csv file generated from SM. How can I do that?
#11
We can't use SM successfully to credit our customers. The problem is that after crediting on SM then updating to Yahoo, Yahoo automatically sends an email to our customer saying their order was shipped. We then get confused emails from customers asking why we are re-shipping to them the item they returned to us. We've reverted to doing all credits through Yahoo directly, then updating there.

...not connect to server".  I get this everytime I click on Get New Orders.  All I have to to is click OK and everything is fine.  However the error message gets a little annoying.  Getting orders should be a pleasant thing. Can I fix this? Thanks in advance.  :-o

General / What's archive all about?
August 04, 2008, 01:44:55 PM
I'm looking through my manual trying to understand the use of the archive feature. I see that a back-up file is automatically created in the same directory as my supermanager program file, which seems like pretty good backup to me. Is there any reason why I NEED to use archive? How often do you suggest?

I have SuperManager networked on multiple computers. Computer A is connected to the printer. When I print the packing list from computer B it looks great. When I print the same report from computer A the right side of the page is truncated. Looks like a margin was cut off or something. I made cetain I'm using the same file and that SuperManager pulls the file from the correct directory on both computers. How can I fiex computer A?

The first shipment on every order goes through great and prints great on Endicia's Dazzle. However, for those rare orders that I have to ship a second package for (like a week later), the printing of the 2nd label has problems. What happens is that the second shipment prints BOTH a label for the first and the second--so I'm paying postage twice for the first shipment.  How do I fix?

Also, is there a good section to read about PayPal refunds? That's a manual process for us since we haven't studied how do do it through SuperManager.

I just got done deleting some Ship Methods in the Custom Fields tab.  The program is smart enough to ask you to  current orders to another ship method if there are any such orders.  I was feeling pretty good about my deletions, since most were methods that came with the program which I never used and others were only used minimally.

HOWEVER, when I was done I saw that all my existing orders were re- to different ship methods.  I thought "crap.. I guess I'll just manually correct the open orders and forget the closed/shipped stuff."  Then I realized that the re- was consistent: all orders that should have been "global priority" were re- to shipment method "Next Day", for example.  So, after knowing how my 8 ship methods had been re-, I just selected them in the list view and changed them in a mass way.

Honestly, I did not mess with all 8 ship methods to cause this problem. Something happened beyond my control.

User Feedback / Love it, Love it
January 04, 2008, 10:56:38 AM
We use Supermanager on our store www.ShepherdsCradle.com and are very pleased with it so far.  I got into the program for the purpose of simplifying our accounting with Quickbooks, but realized the power of the other functions immediately.  We are using it as our order processing program now.  It's great!

SUGGESTIONS: 1) make this thing multi-user! (I understand this is in the works).  Without that functionality the program won't keep up with how I want to grow my business. 2) reconfigure the defaults on the downloaded trial version.  I'm using DAzzle as my postage program and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why my orders were changing from the "box" shipment that I specified in Supermanager into an "envelope" when it got to Dazzle.  That's not just a naming convention, mind you.  As an evelope all my shipments changed to under 1 pound (meaning I wasn't paying enough postage) and the tracking bar code was not available (USPS doesn't offer that for envelopes).  That means 7-10 of my 15 packages sent yesterday will come back and none are trackable.  It doesn't help either that Dazzle doesn't show a more detailed list of labels to be printed.  But alas, it was my mistake for not testing with a smaller batch.  But it may be nice for future users if the package type for "box" was set to: XML Exchange -DAzzle/Endicia = RECTPARCEL, and not =ENVELOPE.

Love the program though.
