I was under the impression that SM did not allow duplicate charges on manual orders, or would at least warn you?

I had a charge disappear from an order when I entered the shipping information. I wasn't ENTIRELY sure I had charged it, so I just charged it again, thinking, "SM will tell me if this is a duplicate!"

But it didn't. It double-charged. What's up with that?

finnstyle,

The only record SuperManager has of the charge is the one in the order inside SuperManager itself.  The only other evidence it would have of the original charge is the batch entry once the batch goes through.  It can actually restore the original transaction to the order through this entry by doing the following:
1. Go to "View" | "Admin"
2. Enter the order id in the SuperFind box and hit "SuperFind"
3. Expand each batch returned until the proper charge is found.
4. Right click on the batch entry and choose "Open Order"

SuperManager will create the transaction record from the batch entry if it does not already exist.  You can also search by credit card number.

Thanks,
David
