Hi,

How do I setup exporting using tab delimited format? I am just exporting the email address and billing first name.

order_email,bill_first_name

Nathan,

To add a tab you will need to create a tab character in another program, such as notepad and copy and paste it into the export line box.  We are working on making it so the tab key enters a tab in the box rather than hopping to the next box.  In the meantime this should work for you.

Thanks,

NP. I just imported it into Excel and exported as tab delimited. Since we only do this once a week it's not a big deal. Thanks for the heads up on a possible future version.

Nathan,

I just wanted to make sure we were clear on how it should be done:

1. Go to "View" | "Program Settings..."
2. Choose the "Export Formats" tab
3. Choose the export format you are trying to create from the list.
4. In the box at the bottom of the dialog paste a tab character into the format description where ever you want a tab to appear.  For example if you just want a tab delimitted file with the email <tab> first name it would be the following:
order_email   bill_first_name

You can even copy and paste that from above into the box.

Once this is done you are all set.  The export format will be stored and you can export in this tab delimitted format any time you need to.

Thanks,
David

Thanks for clarifying David. I was reading the last post like it wasn't possible. Works like a charm.

Nathan,

We have fixed this limitation now in the 1.1.0.1 beta.  I will contact you by email to send this out to you.  You can now add tabs in the boxes themselves.

Thanks,
