Hey Guys,

FYI, we were still getting this message, all be it not as often, but I think I might have remedied the issue.  We keep our smg file on a network drive and were accessing it via a mapped network drive.  We were running into some issues with another database file we were accessing the same way and I can across a thread on a forum suggesting that accessing database files via mapped network drives can sometimes be unstable.  I changed it so we were using the full network drive to the file (ie //192.168.1.1/myfolder/myfile.smg) and the issue seems to have disappeared.

Just thought I would share that update in case someone else was running into the same issue.

Hey Guys,

Overall I really like the changes you are making to SM! Just noticed when I was in the Product Details Page that it says "de" instead of "Code".  We are using 1.3.0.8.

Is there a way to have the supplier part number show on a invoice or packing slip?  We are currently using a Packing Slip template that prints a packing slip that says "Please dropship the following to:" for our Dropship Fax form, but our suppliers want their part number on the dropship form. 

I would actually prefer if I could just easily generate a PO with the customer info as the ship to instead of our address, but I haven't seen an easy way to do that either.

Any feedback would be appreciated.  How are other merchants dealing with dropship POs?  Most of our suppliers require us to fax them the order.

I upgraded last night to the latest version of SM and now Dazzle XML Exchange just returns "There are no addresses in your list.  Please check your list . . .".

The following is the entirety of the code in the xml file:

We have been using dazzle exchange to ship every day, so it is pretty important to get this remedied asap.

Hey Guys,

Could we add to the new features docket the ability for SM to optionally download product updates from Yahoo.  My thought would be that one of our option in settings would be a check box to have it automatically download product updates, and if it is checked, it would download product updates at midnight every day, so that the changes we made the day before will be in SM when we come in the next morning.  We often add products to the web after store hours, and we seldom remember to update SM when we are done.  It does not matter with online orders since SM will update the product when the order is downloaded, but since we do so much over phone, email and fax, it is frustrating when we know we added it to the website, but it is not in SM.  Anyway, I went on longer than I intended to.  I just thought it would be a useful feature.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if you could make it so when multiple address possibilities are found  when you check the address, if we could just double click on the correct address and have it autofill the address field with the proper information.  We run into the multiple possible addresses several times a week and having this ability would be convenient.

I have come across several issues in the latest version of SM that I thought I would let you guys know about. 


  • If you add a custom item, hit ok and attempt to re-edit a custom item the price and value disappear.
  • You can not re-edit items that have been entered into a PO once you hit ok on the add item interface.
  • Only the packing list that is set as the default packing list will print the shipment you have selected to print the packing list for.  We use the packing list to print  portions of the order that have to be dropshipped, and we have a different template for that. Either our Packing List or Dropship Packing List will print correctly if it is the default packing list and we hit print default packing list, but will only print the first shipment if it is not the default packing slip.

Let me know if I can lend any  on finding or fixing these issues.

Fixed Bugs / Error YFX 0110

I am occasionally getting an "Improper Allocation Error" Error YFX0110.  Not sure what it is or what that means, but when I get this error it fails to process a manual order.  Sometimes it locks up my yahoo manager and I have to call them to unlock it.  The are supposedly working on whatever it is no there end that is locking up, but I thought you should be aware of what SM was doing.

General / Shipment_items?

I was trying to modify our templates to be able to show how many items should be in each package on the packing slip, but all I can find is order_items for the whole order.  Is there such a variable?

PS Tried shipment_quantity and shipment_items and both of these locked up SM when i tried to print.

I was wondering why there are over 5000 sm####.tmp files in my supermanager directory.  Most of them said 0kb for size, but i one of them has customer info in it so I did not want to post it here.  Let me know if you need any further info from me.

General / Authorizing Credit Cards

I have been having an issue since the last SM update, when I hit the Sale button, it pops up and asks for the amount, and I hit enter, it asks if I want to authorize the charge, then asks for the amount again and again asks if I want to authorize it.  I was so use to just hitting enter until the popup boxes disappeared that it took me a few time to realize what was happening.  But I noticed that it was showing orders were being authorized 2x.

Today I was entering data into a new order while the previous one was double authorizing and one authorization showed up in the original order and the second one showed up in the order I was currently inputing data into.  I had not even gotten to the payment info on the new order, and the amount authorization on the order I was editing was for the amount of the previous order.  I am a bit perplexed by this.  I thought at first maybe i was just hitting the Sale button 2x, so I slowed down and deliberately went through the process slowly keeping track of where I was in the process and the same double authorization popups came up.

I have been getting this error every morning if I leave SM running overnight as well as if i try to exit the program while it is in the process of logging into Yahoo.

Hey Guys,

I accidentally stumbled onto an issue.  I launched SuperManager and while it was loading I was working on something else and I just happened to hit the esc key just as SM asked for the login password and it logged in anyway.  I was wondering if it had something to do with the password save feature for re-reading the file.  Anyway, I figured this was not intended to happen.

General / Asking for liscence every time

I just installed SM1.1.9.9 on a "new" computer and every time we start SM on that computer it asks for the license.  I enter it and go into the About SuperManager, and the info is there, but close it and reopen it and it is gone.  Any thoughts?

When I enter a part number into the supplier part number on the product info page, and hit save, it clears the part number.

Can we add the feature to be able to filter our reorder list by the vendor that it needs to be reordered from?  It would also be nice if we could spit out a email or printable template with the reorder list for each vendor.

When I enter information into the Address pop up that opens when you hit the Address button on the Add Supplier page, the info disappears when I hit OK.  I was also wondering if there is a reason why the address checker is not available on the suppliers page as well.  Let me know if you need any further info.

I have been having SM consistently crash on me when I click the email button and choose blank (and sometimes other) email templates.  I get the SuperManager crashed for unknown reason error message.  The problem does not seem to exist if I attempt to send email from the order list, only from the order details window.

Would it be possible to add something similar to what happens when you start typing in the country in the order form where it matches the letters you have typed in to the country listing, ie when you type in ca it automatically comes up with canada, in the name of the customer field, and have it auto fill the customer info from the data base if the name in the customer name field matches one in your database. 

I keep forgetting to do the superfind for customers before I start a new manual order, so I have to delete the order I started, and go find the customer and start over on the order.  It would just make it easier if I could just start typing into the customer name field and it popup with the name if we already have the info.
