Dear Mike & David:

Your program is super great.  Please, please, please add the multi-user capabilities.  I understand it's a big job but your program is so light weight & intuitive & easy for the average person to use.  It's a pity to be forced to outgrow it.

General / my complete file was erased

hey guys,

one of the office girls just erased the complete database.  nothing is there when i open supermanager.  ermpty, nada!  help!

i've got the program set to save every 5 minutes.  i also saw a message on the screen for a second informing me that the file was significantly smaller than previous files.  i think it said both files were saved & one could be deleted later.

please help

Printing Reports / help on avoiding human error

Hi guys!

Currently we pick our orders off the packing slip which you so kindly added the sorting capability to.  Love it :-)

I'm wondering if there would be some way for an additional packing slip to be printed.  I would need some special capabilities on this extra packing slip.

I need a packing slip which will indicate to the picker every item's unique manufacturers code.  Additionally some items are comprised of two parts ( a container & a separate lid).  Items which have two parts would need both manufacturer's item codes printed out.

Ask me questions if I have not explained myself clearly.

If there would be an extra charge of $100 or so to build this type of customized sheet, I will gladly pay for it

We purchase our items by the case. Then sell online by the piece. Some of the items are tops & bottoms which we purchase separately by the case but then sell as a set by the piece.

We do not use manufacturers codes when selling. Every time we hire a new employee, we have loads of errors with order picking.

Customers are understandably mad.

Is there some automated system in which the order picker can walk around the warehouse, maybe holding a handheld screen/scanner device. The order should appear on the screen & prompt the picker on which is the correct item to pick(using various manufacturers codes etc..). Stop him if he has picked the wrong item & not let him go further if he has skipped an item??

Of course, any new system must be compatible with Supermanager

Any recommendations please?!!?

Other Software / fedex integration setup

Hey guys.

First of all, I just followed your steps to avoid orders being downloaded as residential.  Worked as a charm.  Thank you.

We've been using ups worldship & the integration with Supermanager is great.  In addition to using UPS, we are now starting to also use Fedex.

With Fedex, I have two accounts (two different "ship from addresses")

I now need to integrate supermanager with both fedex accounts

I started following your directions from the User Manual.

I got stuck at 11.5.a.1 at step #6, browse for file.  I cannot find a "smtofedex.txt" file in my C:\Program Files\Fedex\

Do I need to first create this file & how?

Printing Reports / item sorting on packing slip

Hey.

Here's my second question for the night.

I am currently using your packing slip for the warehouse guys to pick orders.

I modified it by deleting the line item totals & order grand totals.  (told you I'm paranoid about privacy :-D)

My question is this;

Customers order items in random order.  Then when the guys pick the orders, they are busy running back & forth from aisle to aisle to pick each item. 

It would be significantly more efficient to have the system sort the items into a customized sort following the warehouse layout & have each packing slip print with the items pre-sorted.

If this is not possible, my alternate request would be for an alphabetical sort so at least sister items print on each packing slip one after each other.

(I did not list this on the "new request page" because the Supermanager keeps surprising me on its massive capabilities & now I'm just  you guys can do anything!)

Hi guys.

On the top, left side of the main Supermanager screen, there is a box which states the day's daily order totals & dollar amount. 

I now need to give an office employee access to Supermanager. 

Can I disable this box? 

I know they can add the totals manually but I'd rather not have this information presented so easily.

I enjoyed the convenience of this snapshot of my daily sales but I'm a bit paranoid on privacy & would prefer to restrict this information.

General / bar code scanning

Hi guys.  Your program is still the greatest lifesupport for our business.

As we are growing, we seem to be running into some growing pains.

Currently, we enter the carton weights into Supermanager manually. 

We can't let Supermanager calculate the weight because many times our orders pack into multiple cartons.  There is no way for us to know in advance how the different items will fit into boxes etc.. 


This system is a bit cumbersome.  Additionally, as we've hired new employees, we've had too many mistakes.

I don't know if this is possible, but I was thinking that the best bet for us would be some system in which a barcode prints onto the Supermanager packing slip.

Then at the packing station, have a scale connected to a computer, scan the barcode, (enter box quantities, if necessary) & poof!!!  a label prints out.   

Can this be done?

Hi guys.  when it rains, it pours.  everythings been great for the last year but i just keep on bumping into problems the last while.

here is what is now wrong

I cannot download my orders into supermanager.

i clicked the "get orders" button.

tried downloading the orders but receiving a message "cannot  find available orders"

the bottom of the screen says "error downloading orders"

I tried clicking the "log onto yahoo store manager"  that worked fine.  a new internet explorer window opened.  i tried downloading one order, all the orders , & 5 orders, no luck.  please help

Fixed Bugs / declared value showing up in ups

hi.  thank you for thesupermanager program.

after my hard drive blew, i re-installed supermanager into my computer.  unfortunately, it is now importing the order values into UPS worldship 10.0 as a declared value.

i went to "store settings", "order processing automation" & changed the declared value to 0.00.  (it then changes itself to $0.00)  clicked apply & ok.

No luck, the declared values are still transferring over into worldship.

can you shed some light on this?

Other Software / importing to ups

Hi you guys.  The supermanager is absolutely amazing.  I could not finish connecting all the applications this past summer.  All i've been using sm for was transferring my yahoo orders to qb.  Thank you, thank you! you've saved me HOURS!  Now that the holiday rush is over & I can catch my breath, i'd love to finish connecting ups to supermanager.

when i attempt to "batch import" in ups, i get a message that it failed.  any advice?

Hi:

Can I get advice on customizing export data for qb sales receipts?

1) When doing the xml exchange, I find that the company name is missing from the qb sales receipts.  I would prefer to have the company name appear in both the billing & shipping address.

2)The words "United States" is added to both the billing & shipping info on the qb sales receipts.  Can I get them removed?  Until i become more profficient with the sm, i will continue using our old method of creating ups shipping labels directly off the qb sales receipts.  Having the words" united states" creates an error on the ups label.

3)  My Yahoo items do not have automatic descriptions.  My qb items of the exact same code do have the descriptions.  When I import the orders from yahoo into sm, the item code is also listed as the description.  That is not a problem, but when i do the xml exchange to quickbooks, it seems to override the qb description.  So instead of the item code pulling up the qb description, (which is necesary for order picking), the qb description field displays the item code again.
