Hey David,

What are you thoughts on emailing your clients to have them join in the chat so we can maximize the time? Any thoughts on a good web based conference system? Can you do it with Yahoo/MS IM and just invite people into the discussion? Now sure how many people can join a chat at once. Would be good to have video (webcam) capability if possible.

Just my 2 cents. I am out of the office in Florida until Nov 8th so it would be great have it after that.

I could do Phoenix as I used to live in Sedona. I love it out there. I don't care what time of the year it is but makes more sense for me in the Winter. Perhaps a online chat with an agenda would be in order for now. I am actually going through some pretty extensive online marketing campaigns and couching right now would be willing to share my experiences in a couple of months. I have been doing this a while but feel that I am lacking a bit of knowledge in the organic (free) search marketing.

My thought would be another icon just like what you get when the order comes in, you the process it and it changes to another icon, then you ship it and it changes to another icon, another icon for sent shipping info to yahoo and another one exported to qb as that is the final process. It needs to be a quick look on one screen in my opinion to be efficient. What do you think Eric and Rox?

Ok now I got a need to have multiple groups for a product. When I only had one I just made the product price half of the group price (it was a 2 pack of something). Now we are selling 4 packs and it won't work. I do however have a simple (ok simple since I only have to recommend it) solution. Is it possible for the SM to have it's own SPECIAL group products which will break them out into individual products when downloaded from yahoo into SM or even just into QB.

Example:
A four pack of Magic Bullets would be imported into QBs as

4 Magic Bullets @ xxx.xx price. We would set the pricing in the product setup. I know I need it right now for multiple packs but another thought that others might need is to have a group with 1 widget and 3 gadgets. So you ask why don't you just use the multi pricing in yahoo to do this. The way it shows up in Yahoo is terrible. Do customers really understand 54.88 2/49.94 3/48.88 etc.

Ok and while we are on process control. I have 4 processes. Billing, shipping, Emailing and QB export (accounting). The first 2 are taken care of automatically but yes I would also like a tab that had the other two options. That way I could ultimately get rid of my papertrail. That is once I trust my employees not to mess things up but that's another story.

Does anyone else still use a paper check system for each order? Just curious since it is really time consuming to stamp each step when it's done. Great for training people though.

Wow and to think I was just about to ask this question. Of course I have the Canadian edition so we will have to see if there are any issues. Backing up before upgrade just in case.

Will let you know Rox.

The authorization didn't go through. I will let you know if this happens again with the new release.

Hi David,

I only do my email customer service once a day right now so I tried it this morning and guess what. It works again. It was probably just a server error on their part.

Thanks for looking into it.

Ok. Just found the issue with the transaction. I looked at it on Yahoo and it now has a kkkk at the end. I will have to keep an eye on this to see if it's something yahoo is doing, the customer is doing or SM is doing when I go to update the transaction (we update most of our orders before processing because of our shipping method changes).

Any thoughts on what it could be?

Hi,

I started to run into this problem yesterday where when you charge a card it says it is an "invalid card number" do you want to process it manually even though you authorized it automatically when they purchased. This is an Internet order so I have never seen this before. The only thing I can come up with is that it is fraud as they authorized with one card and then changed the card number (not sure if they can do that) and then put in the fraud card for me to process and since I only hit sale it won't authorize again.

Can others tell me if you have experienced the same thing.

Fixed Bugs / FedEx Tracking : Resolved
October 04, 2006, 06:04:08 AM
This is probably just a FedEx.com issue but just wanted to let you know that I am having issues just hitting the track button on an order. It gives me this error

Message from the NSAPI plugin:
No backend server available for connection: timed out after 10 seconds.

The website tracks fine though. Just something maybe to check to see if they changed the way the plug in works. Or it's just down.

I am not experiencing any problems with the new version doing this. Is your computer closing your Yahoo session for some reason?? I think there is a setting in yahoo that allows it to make it so you have to log in again after a certain time without anything happening?

David not sure if SM looks to see if it's still logged in the background IE session you run?

Just my thoughts.

Not sure. We needed the special integration because we ship across the border but the regular stuff I did myself.

Ok. Now I am just frustrated with our ISP (Bell in Canada). There SMTP server is down again and of course it's on a high volume day where it will take a long time to update yahoo. I have 3 smtp servers.

1) Bell my local ISP (and only choice). Is always down.
2) GoDaddy's relay service. Which doesn't work with SM but works with Outlook Express.
3) Intermedia.net which Bell doens't allow port 25 to send through.

Yes an ISP that blocks you from using another SMTP provider even when there's doesn't work.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
